The Helensburgh Writers 'Workshop returns for a new term on Monday, September 9 at The Bridge from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The first meeting will be an introduction so if anyone is thinking about giving creative writing a try, "don't be shy, come along", say organisers.
"We are an informal group and welcome all new members," they said. "Members write in all genres, from fiction and screenplays, to non-fiction and poetry."
And a new term for Helensburgh Young Writers' Workshop starts on Tuesday, September 10, from 3.30pm to 4.40pm for anyone aged seven to 12 years old.
They meet at Helensburgh Community Hub and the group told us: "We will be looking at building their own stories, inventing plots and characters while the children interact with each other.
"If there are any budding authors out there or just wanting to explore imagination or writing confidence, please come along."
The young workshop runs in three or four-week blocks.
Organisers added: "The benefits of creative writing are many, ranging from learning and honing skills to improving expression mental health."
