THE Helensburgh and Gareloch Horticultural Society's new season of talks starts in Helensburgh next week.
All talks are free to members and £5 for non-members.
The first talk, on Wednesday, September 11, will see Stan da Prato talk about dwarf bulbs for gardens and greenhouses.
Other talks in the series include Nancy Stevens on the exceedingly curious tale of ‘ a curious herbal’, a book written by Elizabeth Blackwell (October 9), Sally Morgan on understanding soil and composting and peat free guidelines (via Zoom on November 13), Colin Sherwood on bees in the garden (January 8), Kristyna Bargo on The Resourceful Garden (February 12), and Kevin Hughes from Cally Gardens on spring gardens in the west of Scotland (March 12).
All talks start at 7.30pm and, with the exception of Sally Morgan's talk in November, are held at the Victoria Halls.
