THE Helensburgh group hoping to take the town's only cinema into community ownership is issuing a last call to locals to come along to its engagement event this weekend.
The Save the Tower group is holding two sessions at the Tower Digital Arts Centre in Sinclair Street this Saturday, September 7.
And while the group is delighted to reveal that the afternoon session has sold out, there are still a few tickets remaining for the evening session, which starts at 6pm.
A spokesperson said: "On Saturday we hired a stall at the Market in the Square and we spoke to a huge number of people who want to support and back our bid to the Scottish Land Fund.
"There will be an update this Saturday from the steering group about the progress made so far, followed by an interactive session facilitated by Scottish Enterprise.
"There will also be an opportunity to ask the team questions.
"In true Tower style, after the session which will last approximately 1 hour, we’ll have a quick break then sit back and watch Sunshine on Leith, the film which was chosen by the public via our online poll.
"The bar will be open selling a range of soft and alcoholic drinks, snacks, popcorn and teas/coffees.
"We can’t wait to see everyone at the event and send a clear message to the Scottish Land Fund that Helensburgh wants and supports The Tower."
