Beach clean events have been scheduled throughout this month, kicking off at East Bay this weekend.
The clean-up will take place on September 7 at 10am and people have been advised to meet opposite the Tesco Garage.
Cleaning activities are also planned for Rhu Bay and Helensburgh Beach, on September 14 and 28 respectively.
The community has been invited to spend as little as 30 minutes at these activities to make a difference.
Participants can meet at strategic points, like at the bus stop and toilet block area at Rhu Bay, or the at the pier slipway at Helensburgh Beach.
Protective gloves are recommended for all volunteers.
The events offer coffee, cakes, and good company, particularly at the East Bay clean up where volunteers can socialise at Helensburgh Community Hub afterwards.
These initiatives have been organised in collaboration with different groups such as Helensburgh Community Hub, Jean’s Bothy, Helensburgh Litter Pickers, and Helensburgh Community Council.
