After a very wet summer, it's time to do another tidy of the town, with some prime slots to volunteer your skills.
There will be a tidy of Colquhoun Square this weekend and a beach clean next weekend in Helensburgh to continue the area's green efforts.
On Saturday, August 31 in Colquhoun Square, the tidy of shrub beds will welcome old volunteers and new. Helensburgh Community Council have organised the event starting from 10am and those wanting to help are invited to bring gloves and tools.
For more information, email sarahdaviesde@yahoo.co.uk.
The next beach clean will be on Saturday, September 7 from 10am to 11.30am meeting at East Bay opposite the Tesco Garage. Coffee and cakes will be provided at Helensburgh Community Hub after the pick, with the Hub and Jean's Bothy arrange the effort with Helensburgh Litter Pickers.
Contact Elizabeth 01436 679565 for further details.
Even 30 minutes can help make a difference to the community.
