Women of the Peninsula are being invited to the first SWI meeting of the new season.
SWI Cove and Kilcreggan are gearing up for their first meeting at Cove Burgh Hall ahead of a number of activities in the coming months.
The group meet on the first Wednesday of the month from September to May at 7.30pm with a range of speakers and activities to "inform and entertain".
They also meet monthly at local eateries, have frequent days out, theatre trips, walks and more.
Sandra Cawthorn, president of the branch, said: "We have SWI courses and seminars online and in person available to us to improve skills in many things.
"Above all we learn, laugh and make lifelong friendships. As part of nine local institutes forming the Dunbartonshire Federation there are always joint activities to take part in such as the 'Rural Olympics' and quiz nights to name a few.
"Always a good laugh and you meet lots of women from the area.
"The Biannual Show which showcases the talent and skills in crafts and cookery, art and floral art and many other skills.
"Our group shone in 2024's show winning many prizes and trophies. Entering competitions however is voluntary."
She urged those interested to visit www.dunbartonshireswi.org or their Facebook page Dunbartonshire Federation SWI, or the SWI Cove and Kilcreggan Facebook page for more information.
Everyone is welcome to drop in to the first meeting on September 4 where Fiona Kilgore will be speaking on interior design.
The members' competitions are two eccles cakes/flower arrangement in a tea cup.
Refreshments are included and anyone is welcome to bring a friend. Though membership for the year is £30, the first meeting is free for visitors and new members.
You can join the SWI at a meeting or through the SWI website.
