A young sports star has been celebrating recent success for Helensburgh - only weeks after injury.
Ethan Fullarton took a gold medal at the Scottish Athletics National U13, U15 and U20 Championships in Grangemouth earlier this month.
The S2 pupil at Lomond School reached 1.42 metres with his winning high jump effort, and got a bronze medal in the long jump, as well as finishing fifth in the 100 metres.
Ethan, who is the grandson of the late Advertiser editor Donald Fullarton, is one of the top athletes of his age, and trains at Victoria Park City of Glasgow Athletics Club.
Proud dad Campbell told us: "We are very proud of Ethan. He injured his Achilles finishing fourth at the Scottish Schools Quadrathlon in June and was out for two months.
"He only managed to train twice the week before to test it was recovered enough, so we are naturally delighted.
"It is just lovely to see his dedication to improving in all the disciplines of athletics. He loves to learn and improve.
"He is good at running, jumping and throwing - a real all rounder - one of the top athletes his age in Scotland.
"Next year he moves up to under 15 and it will be exciting to see what he does next year."
