THE body of a man has been recovered after a rescue operation was launched near a caravan park in Rosneath.
We reported earlier this morning that emergency services were called to Rosneath Bay at 9.30am on Friday after a report was received of someone in the water.
Police have confirmed that the body of a 52-year-old man has been recovered.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A search and rescue operation was launched this morning, Friday, August 16 after police received a report of a man in the water off Rosneath Bay, near Helensburgh.
"The body of a 52-year-old man has been recovered and his family has been informed.
"Enquiries are ongoing, however, we are not treating the death as suspicious. Police were called around 9.30am."
