OLDER residents in Helensburgh have left "in distress" by three men trying to sell goods door-to-door, it's being reported.
Police Scotland have issued descriptions of a group of men they want to trace after receiving "multiple reports" of three men trying to sell items door-to-door in the area on Thursday, August 15.
Police Scotland say they appear to have been targeting elderly residents and that the men's behaviour left several people in distress.
One male is described as around 5ft 8in tall, with a stocky build and a shaved head. He was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts.
A second male is described as about 30 years old, about 5ft 10in in height, with orange/brown hair. He had tattoos on his neck and wrists. He was wearing dark blue tracksuit.
A third male is described as around 40 years old, about 5ft 10in tall, and of a slim build. He was wearing a white/grey top.
All the men are described as carrying large rucksacks or holdalls and describe them using a burgundy coloured van.
Police are appealing for anyone with information, including CCTV footage, regarding the men or their vehicle to contact them.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 by quoting incident 2594 of August 15, or alternatively attend at Helensburgh Police Station and speak to officers in person.
