BEGINNER artists in Helensburgh will have a chance to learn the skills of watercolour at a workshop next month.
Experienced local artist Julia Gurney will help budding artists explore different techniques and characteristics of watercolour using Geilston Garden as the subject.
The workshop, organised by Friends of Geilson Garden, on Thursday, September 5 from 10am until 3pm will focus on vegetables and fruit in the setting, before exploring patterns of the flower and vegetable garden.
A snack with tea and coffee will be provided but organisers advise participants to bring their own lunch and suitable clothing for the Scottish weather.
All materials for the Beginner and Improvers Watercolour workshop required will be provided and may be purchased, if wished, at the end of the session though there is no obligation to do so.
Tickets cost £30 per person but visit the NTS website for details of entry to the gardens and membership fees.
Contacts Friends of Geilson at geilstonfriends.events@gmail.com to book or to find out more information about the session.
