A NEW event which delves into the origins of ferns will take place at Geilston Garden this weekend.
Friends of Geilston are set to hold a fern walk on Saturday, August 17 at 11am for a guided walk around the garden which will see participants be introduced to native and ornamental ferns.
The event provides a unique opportunity to learn about ferns, often overlooked in most gardens.
This session covers different facets of ferns, facilitated by members of the British Pteridological Society.
Beginners are welcome and advanced gardeners can glean knowledge from certified experts.
Tickets for the Fern Walk cost £10 per person, but visit the NTS website for details of entry to the gardens and membership fees.
