A NEW musical season is almost upon us with performers invited to join together towards wonderful shows in the town.
Helensburgh Orchestral Society begin rehearsals next week for their autumn concert on October 26.
The show will feature works by Rossini, Smetana and Beethoven, and the orchestra would like to invite any players wanting to join in to get in touch.
The group told the Advertiser: "Come and join us, make music together, make new friends and have fun."
They recently held a summer "play-day" with more than 60 musicians from around Scotland spending a Saturday learning and playing Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake music.
Rehearsals for the October show start Monday, August 19 at the Victoria Halls.
