A NEW exhibition goes on public display at a Helensburgh art gallery this weekend.
Karen Strang’s 'Baba Jaga’s Cookbook: Fairy Tales, Food and Folklore' at the Front Room Gallery in West Clyde Street brings to life the mystical and mythical elements of Slavic culture, presenting a captivating collection of artworks inspired by traditional stories and personal childhood memories.
The highlight of the opening event, on Saturday, August 10, from 2-5pm, will be a special talk by the artist herself, Karen Strang. She will delve into the inspirations behind her work, sharing personal stories and insights into the creation of this unique exhibition. This is a rare opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural and magical elements that influence her art.
The exhibition is a collaborative effort, with part of the showcase being held at Peckham’s of Helensburgh.
The event is free to attend but those interested in coming along are being asked to RSVP. For more information see the 'Front Room Gallery' page on Facebook.
