Friends of Geilston are set to hold their Monthly Mindfulness Meander event alongside a new event this month.

The Monthly Mindfulness Meander event will take place on August 14 and A Fern Walk will be held on August 17.

The fern event provides a unique opportunity to learn about ferns, often overlooked in most gardens.

This session covers different facets of ferns, facilitated by members of the British Pteridological Society.

Beginners are welcome and advanced gardeners can glean knowledge from certified experts.

Booking for both events can be done at geilstonfriends.events@gmail.com.

These events follow the success of their recently concluded Craft Fair.

Despite a gloomy weather forecast, the anticipated rainfall abstained and the event continued without a hitch.

Gazebos were set up and stalls prepared, whereas the group known as the Glorious Gardeners occupied various parts of the garden.

A record number of visitors flocked to the fair, eager to see the crafts, play garden games, listen to a wandering fiddler, and hunt for the scattered Glorious Gardeners.

A key attraction was the cake baked by the FoG volunteers.

Sales flourished at the fair, with the kitchen garden's produce and flowers fast selling out.

The star of the show, however, was the garden itself, resplendent yet tranquil despite the large number of visitors.
