Drumfork Community Centre held a Families Day on Wednesday organised with a number of organisations and groups on hand.

HM Coastguard, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Home Start, Royal Navy and Royal Marines Families Charity, 43 Commando, Capita, Combat Central, Helensburgh Friends of Guiding and the Police Scotland boat were amongst those at the sunny event.
Jake Lavender was in charge of organising the event and was delighted with the turnout, helped by the good weather.

He said: "This is the Royal Navy’s biggest community event of the year and all paid for by the Submarine Family, Forces Mutual and other military organisations. This means that all the rides etc were free and we hoped that, with the cost of living, it was an opportunity for families to treat the children.
"The whole day was for the community and not just the naval families and the Drumfork Community Centre was open to all."
