A MAN was clocked driving at at least 100 miles per hour on a rural road near Helensburgh at the weekend, according to police.
The 33-year-old, from the Alexandria area, is alleged to have driven dangerously on the A817 Haul Road between Loch Lomond and Garelochhead.
Police say the vehicle being driven by the man crossed solid white lines to overtake on the road, and that the vehicle was being driven at "no less than 100 miles per hour" in a 60mph zone, heading west towards Garelochhead.
According to police the incident happened at 10.56am on Saturday, July 27.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
