AN AWARD-WINNING touring play shining a light on the realities of tenement life is set to hit the stage in Helensburgh.
The talented performers from The Travelling Theatre Company are putting on their hilarious play, Up A Close, at the Victoria Halls on Saturday, September 21.
Following a sell-out show in 2019, the organisers are now touring across different venues across Scotland including Largs, Johnstone and Glasgow.
Up a Close tells the story of Joanna and her life growing up in a tenement flat in Glasgow.
When her husband goes missing she starts to relive scenes from her youth and the audience see the fun times she had dancing to the Bay City Rollers, going 'up the dancing’ with her pal and the wonderful relationship she had with her Auntie Sandra.
Shang-a-lang to the music as you watch Joanna reminisce about the good times and the bad.
Up a Close is a very nostalgic, poignant and funny show that will leave you laughing, crying and identifying with all the characters.
Starring Geri Greenhill, Amber Conway, Carolyn Calder and Jamie Hunter, Up A Close is directed by Victor Kennedy (The Steamie) and is a must see Scottish show.
The Helensburgh show will start at 7.30pm and tickets prices start at £18.
