A WOMAN was arrested following an alleged hate crime incident in a garden in Cardross.
It is alleged that the 58-year-old, from Helensburgh, made racist remarks towards the victim in a garden at an address in Cardross.
Police say the incident took place at 2.30pm on July 9.
The new Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act, which came into force in Scotland on April 1, updates existing laws that punish racist, sectarian or homophobic comments or actions.
She was later released and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court at a later date.
