A charity footie match has been hailed a huge success as organisers vow to bring it back bigger and better next year.
The game in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity saw Capita Fire and Rescue take on Scottish Fire and Rescue Service members.
Capita - which provides services to the navy at Faslane and Coulport - won the high-score game at 9-7 and were handed the shield by the firm's chief officer, Alex Clark.
Organiser Jamie Bailey, who works for Capita and is on-call watch commander at Garelochhead fire station, thanked everyone for the great turnout.
He told the Advertiser: "It went really well. The weather stayed pretty decent for us.
"It was an exciting game from a spectator point of view.
"It was a good turnout from within the fire service family but also members of the public.
"It was a very successful day and we are planning to have it as an annual event.
"A big thank you to Helensburgh Rugby Club who hosted and helped bring it all together."
So far the charity event has raised about £1,100 and a provisional date has already been pencilled in for next July.
"This was sort of a pilot run," added Jamie. "We are aiming to make it bigger and better.
"Thank you to everyone who came on the day for their support - the football players and the public and everybody who played their part."
