Applications for a grant to help families with the cost of school uniforms is to open next week.
Parents in Helensburgh and Lomond may be entitled to a clothing grant of £120 per child when attending primary school and £150 per child when attending secondary school.
School clothing grants are available for parents who receive specific benefits.
To qualify for a clothing grant, the person must be in receipt of at least one of the following:

Income Support

Income Based Job Seekers Allowance

Income related Employment and Support Allowance
-
Council Tax or Housing Benefit

Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit

Universal Credit
Clothing grant applications for children due to start school in August 2024 open on July 1.
