Two young people broke into an electrical box in Helensburgh before forcing entry to a nearby vehicle, say police.

The pair, aged 12 and 17, were allegedly responsible for causing damage at a commercial premises in the town's Lomond Street at around 8pm on Saturday, June 22.

It is alleged that they forced entry to a vehicle to release the handbrake near to the premises before removing fire extinguishers from the vehicle.

Police say a punishment for the pair has yet to be decided but that there may be scope for "early intervention".
