MILITARY and civilian firefighters are set to face off in a charity football match in Helensburgh next month.
A team from the Capita Fire and Rescue service, who provide firefighting services for the MoD at both Faslane and Coulport, will take on a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service side at Helensburgh Rugby Club on Saturday, July 6.
The match is part of a day of fun being organised to raise cash for the Firefighters Charity, which supports serving and retired firefighters from across the UK with their mental health and physical and social wellbeing.
As well as the football, the day will also feature a barbecue, bouncy castles, a face painter and a DJ, while the clubhouse bar at the ground will also be open.
The event starts at 12 noon, and the football match will kick off at 1pm.
