A Helensburgh woman celebrated her 100th birthday with family during a party at Morar Lodge Care Home.
Jessie Manley marked the milestone birthday with a party on Thursday, June 6, when she was joined by her children, grandchildren, and great grand children, as well as staff from the home.
Staff member Maria McGibbon made the cake and members of the Morar Lodge team helped decorate the room to make the day extra special for Jessie and her family.
Manager Claire McStravog said: "The party was nice and everything went really, really well.
"It was a lovely wee day for her."
Born in Govanhill, Jessie met husband her husband in Ayr and they were married in her mother's house in Shawlands.
The couple then moved to London and had two children, a boy and a girl.
During World War Two, Jessie did the fire watch at night.
One of her favourite things to do was to travel, and she especially loved visiting Spain, Malta, and Italy.
Everyone at the Advertiser sends their very best wishes and congratulations to Jessie.
