A MAN has appeared in court charged with rape and other sexual offences.
Naresh Saresh Shinde, 38, appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, June 10 after being arrested in Arrochar at the weekend.
He is accused of committing eight crimes under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
They include a charge of rape, four counts of sexual assault and three of sexual exposure.
There was a further charge under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 for causing fear and alarm to another person.
Mr Shinde, who was described in court as a resident of Rosyth in Fife, made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.
He was remanded in custody and is due to make a further appearance in court within eight days.
