A Helensburgh artist has been selected as a finalist in a UK-wide competition and will have her work displayed in an English gallery.
Kim Duncan’s watercolour painting ‘Blue Blooms’ has been selected as one of the top entries in the still life and botanical category in the SAA Artist of the Year 2024 competition.
Kim’s painting – and the other finalists’ work - will be featured at the Nottingham Society of Artists Gallery in October.
The competition attracted over 1,900 entries and the final round of judging is still to take place.
A selection of Kim’s work can be seen alongside that of nine other up and coming artists at the Oak Tree Gallery in Helensburgh until Sunday, June 9.
SAA (Supporting All Artists) was founded in 1992 to inform, encourage, and inspire artists and is based in Newark-on-Trent.
The organisation sells art supplies and their over 30,000 members can access classes and tuition.
