Helensburgh locals can find out about a wide range of local community groups at a wellbeing event next weekend.
The Living Well Together event will take place on Sunday, June 16 in the Helensburgh Leisure Centre from 2pm to 5pm.
Several groups including the Helensburgh Community Hub, Helensburgh and Lomond Carers, and Reboot Line Dancing will be in attendance.
A spokesperson for the hub said: “People come here for all kinds of reasons – whether its accessing services, taking part in activities and groups, or just popping into our volunteer run second-hand Book Nook for a browse and a chat.
“People in the hub are making connections that enrich their lives even in small ways and there is plenty of research that shows how much even small connections can support good mental health and wellbeing.
“We are delighted to be part of the Living Well Together event on June 16 and will be offering a free craft activity to show you just how easy it is to get your creative juices flowing.
“Come along and find out more about what’s happening in the hub.”
Helensburgh and Lomond Carers will be attending the Living well together event as part of Carers Week – which runs from Monday, June 10 Sunday, June 16.
A spokesperson said: “The theme for 2024 is ‘let’s put carers on the map’ so we will be raising awareness all week of the support available to unpaid carers in our local area.
“If you support a friend, family member or child due to illness, disability, mental health, frailty or addiction and they could not manage without your support then you are an unpaid carer.
“Contact us at the carers centre to find out how we can help support you in your caring role or pop along to the event and meet us.”

Huggy the therapy pony will also pay the event a visit, and guests can enjoy a free cake from the Ginger Breadman.
