Children from a Helensburgh primary school enjoyed a fun filled and educational day at an Armed Forces Garden Party.
On a very sunny Friday, May 17, pupils from John Logie Baird Primary School were able to see all the work that the police, fire service, and RNLI do to help local people in need.
Several charities including the Naval Children’s Charity and Naval Families Charity were also there to provide information on their services to pupils and their families – and hand out freebies.
Children were able to sit inside a police car, police boat, police van, and a fire truck.
They were also able to try on equipment such as vests and helmets.
The RNLI brought along special guest Stormy Stan who was there to say hello to everyone.
During the party, the school held a raffle and challenged parents and pupils to guess the number of bouncy balls in a jar with the closest guess winning a prize.
A stall serving sweeties and cold drinks kept the partygoers well fed.
