A Helensburgh music group will treat music lovers to a series of free performances in the town centre this summer.
The Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band will be playing in Colquhoun Square every Wednesday evening in June from 7.30pm to 8.15pm.
The series has been made possible thanks to a collaboration between the band and Destination Helensburgh.
Fiona Baker from Destination Helensburgh said: “We are very lucky to have such an excellent and long-established Pipe Band in the district who participate in so many local community events throughout the year.
“We hope that the weekly evening performances in June will not only entertain locals but help to attract visitors who we hope will stay for a meal or a drink and come and visit us again.
“It is also an opportunity for the pipe band to recruit new members and anyone who is interested in joining the band, who offer full training, should come along to meet them.
“The Pipe Band are providing the entertainment for free but will have a donations bucket for anyone who wishes to make a donation towards their general operating expenses.
“Fingers crossed the weather is as kind to us as last year!”
The 2024 series follows a successful first season held in the square in June 2023.
All performances are free to attend and all are welcome.
