A SPECIAL celebration of volunteering will be marked in Helensburgh next weekend.
As part of Volunteers Week Scotland, Helensburgh Community Hub and Visiting Friends are joining forces once again to to celebrate everyone who volunteers for community groups.
Volunteers will be the stars at the event on Sunday, June 9, from 2pm to 4pm, and organisers want to receive nominations.
As previously reported, last year was the first time the special event was held in the town which was a huge success for the community to thank their volunteers past and present.

And now both organisations are keen to host another event to bring together volunteers for an afternoon lunch.
Gill Simpson, hub development manager, told the Advertiser: "It was so lovely to see so many volunteers all get together and enjoy chatting to each other.
"So many people have come up to me since then to say how much they enjoyed the event and connecting with other local volunteers.
"And they were very appreciative of the wonderful spread we put together with Jayne Burnett from Visiting Friends. We shall be repeating the amazing cocktail sticks.
"We would like any community groups or organisations who have volunteers to get involved in tis wonderful celebration, and we are also keen to invite those folk who don't volunteer with an organisation but do so informally whether it is helping out a neighbour or picking up litter to make our community a nicer place.
"So please get in touch with the hub about anyone you think should be invited and we will do that."
Organisations who have volunteers are asked to book spaces to attend through Eventbrite.com by searching for Helensburgh and Lomond Volunteers.
