Thousands of visitors flocked to Loch Lomond Shores for their Springfest Food and Drink Festival last weekend.

The free event took place across Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 and allowed guests to take part in whisky and gin tastings, watch cooking demonstrations from top Scottish chefs, take part in a foraging workshop, and enjoy street food.

The event was postponed because of high winds but guests enjoyed warm weather and plenty of sunshine on the rescheduled date.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “Thank you to the thousands who visited us over the weekend and enjoyed our Springfest Food and Drink Festival.

“To all our wonderful stallholders and street food vendors, we know it must've been challenging in the heat but at least you were blown away!

Scottish chefs Niall Murray and Rohan Wadke gave cooking demonstrations with Niall also hosting a Q&A.

Loch Lomond Whiskies and Ben Lomond Gin hosted the whisky and gin tasting sessions with profits going to Clyde 1's Cash for Kids Appeal.

Sharon Kerrigan’s foraging workshop allowed participants to explore wild foods while street food vendors gave visitors a taste of various international cuisines.

Rohan Wadke, who competed in Master Chef UK 2016 and is a Cameron House chef, returned to the festival to share Southeast Asian recipes with a local twist.

Loch Lomond Shores will host their Summerfest event across Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7.

Visitors will be able to enjoy street food, fairground rides, market stalls, live music, and children’s entertainment.
