A ROAD in the town centre of Helensburgh is closed for seven days for emergency works.
Scottish Water are undertaking an emergency sewer repair in Havelock Street from Monday, May 20 until 11.59pm the following Monday, May 27.
Whilst the work is being carried out, an emergency temporary prohibition of traffic is in place.
A spokesperson from Scottish Water said: "We are working hard to protect and enhance the natural environment in Scotland and to do this we need to investigate the condition of the sewer network in your area.
"These investigations will help us design and implement future improvements to the local sewer network. The work involves accessing the sewer from a manhole to allow for a camera survey to be undertaken.
"Temporary traffic lights and some on-street parking restrictions will be required during the works, however, full pedestrian access will be maintained.
"Your water supply and drainage services from your kitchen and bathroom should not be affected by our work."
