The organisers of a series of popular summer open-air performances at Geilston Garden are celebrating the successful start of this year’s programme.
The Friends of Geilston’s Sunday in the Park series kicked off on Sunday, May 5 with a performance by Helensburgh choir Tartan Harmony in the grounds of the popular Cardross attraction.
A spokesperson for the Friends said: “[We] hosted the first Sunday in the Garden of this season.
“Despite a cloudy sky and a cool wind there was a steady stream of visitors at the tea stall to enjoy choosing from a great range of homemade cake.
“The garden is looking superb - a mass of colour from tulips, heathers, and azaleas as you enter the walled garden and bluebells and rhododendron lighting up the woodland.
“The gardeners have been so busy not only maintaining the garden but developing new areas of planting - come along for a look.”
'Wandering Fiddler' Fiona Collins also gave an impromptu performance to visitors during the afternoon.
The next event in the Sundays in the Garden series will take place on Sunday, July 7.
