Three men from Argyll ahave been charged with possessing around 500kg of cocaine.
The drug – with a potential street value of around £40 million - was discovered in the back of a van in a car park in the East Yorkshire village of Lelley, according to the National Crime Agency.
Anthony McAllister, 32, of Aldersyde, Taynuilt, Daniel Livingstone, 24, of Campbeltown, and Mark Moran, 22, of Ardrishaig, have been charged with the importation of class A drugs.
Colombian national Didier Javier Tordecilla Reyes, 39, faces the same charge.
The men were arrested on Saturday, May 4 in connection with the investigation and are expected to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court in due course.
