Helensburgh’s annual Beer and Gin Festival is returning to the town in just three weeks – and the organisers say it promises to be “the best yet”.
The popular festival will provide a weekend full of boozy fun with alcohol from a wide variety of breweries and distilleries - as well as whisky and fizz for those wanting something different.
The event will take place on the evening of Friday, May 17 and all day on Saturday, May 18 at the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre.
It's run by the Helensburgh Events and Reinvestment Trust (HEART) - formerly known as the Helensburgh Round Table.
A spokesperson for the festival said: “We are now weeks away from the Helensburgh Beer and Gin Festival 2024 and preparations are being finalised for the biggest and most popular event of the year in Helensburgh.
“Annually the event sees people from Glasgow, the Vale, and locally from Helensburgh come together in their masses to enjoy an evening or two of celebration, all for great local causes.
“Our stunning waterfront setting at the Helensburgh Civic Centre offers up everything we need to host the perfect celebration of some of the best beer, gin, and whisky our country has to offer.
“We plan to make this year bigger and the best yet.”
The organisers say 59 different beers will be on offer including two lagers from Loch Lomond Brewery in Renton, best sellers from No Limits Brewing in Dumbarton, and beers from Stewart Brewing on the east coast.
Gins on sale will include Botanist, Bute, Ellis, Purist, and Tobermory, while there will also be food from Bangin’ Pizza, Events Kitchen and more.
Live bands will be playing throughout the weekend too.
Tickets are priced at £15 for Friday and £20 for Saturday and include entry as well as two drink tokens to spend on any beverage.
