Volunteers braved the high winds to clean up a Helensburgh football pitch and play area at the weekend.
More than 25 people, including Kirkmichael residents, members of Plastic Free Helensburgh, local councillors Fiona Howard and Mark Irvine, and Caryl Mclean from the Third Sector Interface Argyll showed up to help the effort on Saturday, April 6.
The day was organised by the Kirkmichael Community Development Group.
A spokesperson said: “One family had only moved into Kirkmichael two weeks ago and were keen to help with removing the fly tipping and broken glass from the play area.
“Several of the parents who came along want to see the play area upgraded and made more usable for the children, as currently the ground under the swings is flooded.”
The event was funded thanks to a grant from the Argyll and Bute Climate Action Network [ABCAN] which aims to help regenerate community groups and enable them to make their areas cleaner and greener.
The Kirkmichael Community Development Group hold their next meeting on Monday, April 15 at 6.30pm at Argyll College and are keen for residents to get involved and share their ideas.
Those who are interested in joining the group but can't attend the meeting email should email allan.j.forsyth@gmail.com for more information about how to get involved.
