THE Springfest event at Loch Lomond Shores this weekend has been postponed.
The organisers have announced that the festival, due to be held on April 6 and 7, will be rescheduled until May 18 and 19.
The decision has been taken because of a forecast of bad weather.
A spokesperson said: "The safety of all those involved in the festival and our festival attendees is our priority and, with gusts of up to 50-60 mph forecast, we simply cannot host the festival safely.
"The good news is that we've now rescheduled for the 18th and 19th May and hope that everyone gets to experience this popular festival with the sun shining and only a gentle breeze!
"It's the first time we've had to cancel the festival due to weather so please bear with us while we work hard to cause minimal inconvenience to all those who play a role in making this festival one of the biggest food & drink festivals in Scotland.
"For those who have booked tickets for the Loch Lomond Whiskies or Ben Lomond Gin tastings, or our foraging workshop, we'll be in touch via Eventbrite to offer rebooking for the new dates or a full refund.
"To our vendors, scheduled to attend, we very much looking forward to welcoming you on the 18th and 19th May. For those attendees looking forward to visiting this weekend, we hope you'll come along and support the festival on its new dates. And, to everyone, we hope you stay safe this weekend in light of the horrible weather forecast!"
