PEOPLE in Helensburgh are being invited to join members of local church congregations on the town's annual Good Friday 'Walk of Witness'.
This year's walk, on Friday, March 29, starts at the Helensburgh Community Hub on East Princes Street at 10.30am and will proceed around the town to the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre.
On the way there will be stops at St Joseph's Church, Helensburgh Baptist Church, Bethesda Christian Fellowship, the United Reformed Church, St Michael and All Angels, and Helensburgh Parish Church, with a pause for reflection and a hymn at each stop.
After the walk, which covers approximately a mile and a half, tea/coffee and hot cross buns will be provided at Helensburgh Baptist Church in East King Street.
Meanwhile, Helensburgh Parish Church is hosting an Easter family event, suitable for children aged 3-11, on Saturday, March 30 from 10.30am in the church gardens (enter via the Bridge halls on Colquhoun Street).
In addition there will be a short Easter service, hosted by Helensburgh Baptist Church, in Hermitage Park at 9.30am on Sunday, March 31 (remember the clocks go forward on Saturday night!).
Following the service there will be a chance to roll your Easter eggs down the hill, with everyone invited to bring their own decorated hard boiled egg to join in.
All are welcome.
