DETAILS have been revealed of the paddle steamer Waverley’s visits to Kilcreggan and Arrochar later this year.
The famous ship’s first local call of the year will be at Kilcreggan on Friday, May 17, on a cruise to Dunoon, Tighnabruaich and round Inchmarnock island.
The steamer’s main summer season on the Clyde runs from June 28 until August 25 and will include calls at Kilcreggan every Wednesday during July, as well as on Thursdays July 4, July 18, August 1 and August 15.
On July 31 she’ll call at Kilcreggan on not one but two cruises – one in the afternoon and an ‘Evening Sunset Cruise’ with the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society.
There are further calls at Kilcreggan on three Saturdays – July 13, July 27 and August 10 – en route to Rothesay and Tighnabruaich.
Coach connections will be available between Helensburgh and Kilcreggan on each date.
In addition, the ship’s final weekend of Clyde cruises this year includes calls at both Kilcreggan and Arrochar on Saturday, October 19, with the Arrochar visit using Ardnagal Pier on the west shore of Loch Long.
