As well as showing them techniques to deter detection the Marines also built hides in the school grounds, with the pupils' help, for the boys and girls to use. (Image: Newsquest)
Talented performer Jennifer Tierney won a major role in one of the West End's most successful musicals - and told the Advertiser she owed it all to her training at the Ian McLeod Theatre School in Helensburgh and to her parents. Jennifer was picked for a role in the ensemble of Wicked, as well as being cover for Hannah Thorpe, who played Madame Morrible in the show at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Jennifer said: It really was because of Ian that I am working professionally. I began training at the school at a young age and it would not have been possible without him and my mum and dad.
