Primary schools in the Helensburgh and Lomond area have been given new books by a local club as part of a generous initiative.
The Helensburgh Lions Club visited every primary school in the area to donate a set of Wild Tribe Books.
The educational books are made specially for primary aged children and teach them about environmental issues.
A spokesperson for the Lions said: “Over the last few weeks members have visited all the primary schools in the area to supply a set of Wild Tribe Books.
“These colourful and engagingly written books were designed for primary aged children and deal various environmental issues including plastic pollution, climate change, and habitat loss.”
The Helensburgh Lions Club was founded in February 1964 and are celebrating their 60th birthday.
Their donation comes as part of their activities marking the milestone, with the club planning to host several initiatives in the area.
The Helensburgh group is part of the Lions Clubs of the British Isles which is a member of Lions Clubs International.
Each Lions Club consists of volunteers who support a range of good causes and projects in their community.
