A popular Rhu garden dating back to the Victorian era is reopening to the public as its 2024 season begins later this month.
Glenarn’s upcoming season will begin on Thursday, March 21 and will run until Saturday, September 21.
The ten-acre garden will open each day from dusk until dawn with entry costing £6 per adult while children go free.
With history spanning from 1850 to the present day, Glenarn contains winding paths through miniature glens, sunlit open spaces, a vegetable garden with beehives, and a rock garden, and a silent space with views over the Gareloch.
A spokesperson for Gelnarn said: “The famous collections of rare and tender rhododendrons and magnolias give way in midsummer to roses rambling through the trees and climbing hydrangeas, followed by the starry white flowers of hoherias and eucryphias to the end of the season.”
