MEMBERS of local bowling club have chosen a youth charity to be their fund-raising focus for the year ahead.
Garelochhead Bowling Club selected the Route 81 youth project after members voted from a selection for their fund-raising this coming season.
Last year they raised £1,337 for the Gary Andrews Remember a Life, a charity set up to offer a helping hand to those living with a critical illness and their families.
The charity was set up by Kelly Andrews after the death of her husband, Gary, who was a much-loved Garelochhead father and partner.
This year the club said they put their charity choice to a member vote for the first time.
In a statement posted on social media, the club said: "Garelochhead Bowling Club select a charity to support annually and for the first time, the committee narrowed down some local charities for our members to choose from.
"The members voted for Route 81 Youth Project to be the chosen charity for this year.
"This charity has been part of the local community for a number of years and provides a wide range of opportunities for our young people.
"This would not be possible without donations and we are really looking forward to raising as much as we can for Route 81 this year. The committee would like to thank all those who voted. Thank you."
The club is also looking to expend their ladies section, and anyone interested can contact the club through their Facebook page.
