A CYCLIST was rushed to hospital after a serious crash at a roundabout on the A82.
The incident involved a cyclist and a black Mitsubishi Outlander car on the Renton bypass southbound at around 11.45am on Thursday, January 11.
The 65-year-old male cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, for treatment of serious injuries.
The 75-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
We previously reported that the A82 southbound at the Stoneymollan Roundabout was closed for five hours while emergency services were at the scene.
The road reopened at around 6.15pm after an investigation at the scene was carried out.
Road policing officers are now appealing for information after the crash.
Sergeant Archie McGuire, of Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit, said: "Our investigation into this incident is ongoing, and I would urge anyone who witnessed it or has any other information to come forward.
"We would be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage, in particular anyone who was travelling southbound between the Stoneymollan and Lomondgate roundabouts around the time of the collision."
