A NEW partner has been appointed to the Helensburgh branch of a leading Scots law firm.
Bruce Battersby, who has been with BTO Solicitors since 2021, will now work as a company partner who will be heading up the firm’s wills, estates and succession planning practice in Helensburgh.
He specialises in helping clients find solutions to their succession, inheritance tax and capital gains tax issues.
While his work is Helensburgh based, he will also be working with working his colleagues in the firm’s Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
BTO joined forces with local law firm Raeburn Hope in 2019.
Three other partners who work in the firm's Glasgow and Edinburgh offices were given promotions with Lindsay MacNeill, Kirsty McGuinness, and Jill Harris also becoming partners.
BTO chairman David Gibson said: “These well-deserved internal promotions, across a range of disciplines, illustrate the breadth of expertise within our firm and the steady growth in each area, all part of the firm’s ongoing development and encouragement, both of our internal team and the external talent we welcome.
“It always gives deep pleasure to see individuals within the firm develop their potential and we congratulate them all.”
