Members of a Helensburgh choir were in full voice at their Christmas fund-raiser – and raised almost £1,000 for the group.
Around 150 people attended the Helensburgh Dorian Choir's Coffee and Carols event, where they enjoyed tea, coffee, mince pies and biscuits while they were entertained with a variety of Christmas carols and songs.
Visitors also had the opportunity to purchase some home baking and bric-a-brac, as well as take part in a tombola, raffle and Christmas quiz.
The event raised around £950 which will be used for ongoing choir expenses and the purchase of new music for the choir's spring concert which will be celebrating their 75th anniversary.
Secretary Mary Hall said: “The Coffee and Carols event was a great success and was enjoyed by both audience and choir members.”
Rehearsals for the Spring Concert will start on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 7.15pm in the Helensburgh United Reformed Church Hall with new members welcome to join.
