School pupils in Helensburgh have been given work experience opportunities in the trade industry thanks to a housing association.
Argyll Homes For All (AHFA) are continuing to foster links with pupils from Hermitage Academy.
A selection of S4,5, and 6 pupils have been given the opportunity to gain valuable vocational training, knowledge and work experience in a variety of different trades.
During the programme the pupils are paired with a fully qualified tradesperson, who provides them with basic knowledge and understanding of the specific trade they choose to study.
This will aid pupils in establishing which trade, if any, they would like to pursue for their future career.
The programme takes place one day per week over a three- to six-month period and will allow the pupils to add the experience to their CV and gain a valuable understanding of work life.
This shows future potential employers that they can work in a professional environment, said organisers. More information on ACHA is available at acha.co.uk.
