Free Parking across Helensburgh and Lomond will be introduced in the run up to Christmas, Argyll and Bute Council has announced.
To help support local businesses, all council off-street pay and display parking will be free across Argyll and Bute from Monday, December 11 up to and including Sunday, December 24.
Councillor Andrew Kain, policy lead for roads and transport, said: “Our local independent businesses play a key role in supporting the local economy.
“By providing free parking, we hope residents will continue to show their support for local businesses and keep spending local.”
The council’s measures to encourage residents to shop local also include the roll out of an Argyll and Bute gift card which can be used in 300 businesses across the area.
More information about local car parks and parking is available on the council’s website: www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/car-parks-and-parking.
