Helensburgh Tennis Club members have thanked generous locals for giving “overwhelming” support to their Children In Need raffle.
The club raised an impressive £1,178 for the national appeal, which was broadcast on TV on Friday, November 17.
More than 80 prizes were donated by individuals and businesses in the area to the club - whose members have been enthusiastic supporters of the annual BBC appeal for many years.
Organisers Ann McKelvie and Phyllis Fullarton were joined by their team of helpers including members and friends.
Ann said: “The response from members and their friends has been overwhelming.
“I would like to thank everyone for buying the raffle tickets and for their donations.”
This year’s Children in Need appeal raised a total of £33,513,325 for young people across the UK.
The Helensburgh Tennis Club offers coaching for both children and adults of all levels and more information can be found here: www.clubspark.lta.org.uk/HelensburghLTC/Coaching.
