A NATURE charity's Helensburgh volunteers have been hailed for their decades of service to the organisation.
Paula Baker, site manager at the RSPB's Loch Lomond nature reserve, honoured Heather Sykes, Flora Leckie and Alistair MacIntyre for giving 45 years to the charity during a ceremony at the RSPB Helensburgh group's meeting on November 15.
Additionally, Morag Clark was awarded for giving 20 years to the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds), John Macfarlane for 15 years of service, and Davy Hill for 10 years with the charity.
A spokesperson from the group said: “Paula went on to give a fascinating talk about the changes at the reserve over the last 10 years, the wildlife highlights and the planned future developments.”
The RSPB's Loch Lomond reserve is located at High Wards farm in Gartocharn and features woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands which act as the home to a variety of animals.
