Repairs on the A898 northbound slip-road have been postponed from this weekend due to a poor weather forecast.
Transport Scotland have not yet decided when the works will take place but have said “rescheduled dates will be communicated in due course”.
The road between the A898 northbound and A82 westbound – just off the Erskine Bridge - was due to be closed to traffic from 8pm on Friday, November 17 until 6am on Monday, November 20 for essential bridge repairs.
A signed diversion will be in operation when the works go ahead and is as follows:
A898 northbound traffic, excluding HGVs, will be directed to take the A898 slip-road onto the A82 eastbound, and will turn left on to Mountblow Road.
From here, traffic will take the next right turn towards Melbourne Avenue where they will be able to join the A82 westbound. HGV traffic will continue on the A82 eastbound to Kilbowie Roundabout and will take the fifth exit to join the A82 westbound.
The scheme aims to improve the condition of the structure and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
